From Québec City in Canada, Ben Lapointe pursued his education at Université de Sherbrooke in Business Administration and Political Science while working in the Hospitality Industry throughout his college years. These formative years helped him accumulate a strong work ethic and valuable managerial traits which still serve him and his clients well today.
He began is career in Toronto as a Financial Advisor for RBC Dominion Securities where he used his analytical skills to help investors make wise decisions with their investment portfolios. Several years later, when he was recruited by the leading office furniture manufacturer Herman Miller as Territory Sales Manager, he was recognized as a highly involved partner to the Commercial Real Estate Industry. He was transferred to Los Angeles by Herman Miller in 2006 when the company restructured its sales territories.
After many years of supporting the industry, he joined the Commercial Real Estate field as a Licensed Advisor to offer a higher quality of service and attentiveness to the needs of his growing clientele. His high energy level, his discretion and absolute dedication to satisfy his clients' expectations have helped him offer a unique approach as a reliable consultant. With the persistence necessary to initiate and oversee large and complex transactions, he has since created an army of satisfied clients worldwide. The complexity of the transactions demand for Mr. Lapointe to think outside the box in order to find the solutions and a path to success for his sophisticated clients. Consulting is an integral part of his involvement.
Specializing in Large Cap Trades requires a deep understanding of numbers and several different legislation from various States, Provinces and countries along with their taxation consequences. Mr. Lapointe offers more than just transaction management with a discreet approach and limited targeted exposure to his clients wanting to buy or sell properties. Mr. Lapointe has the necessary experience and resources to compete on the National and International markets. Outside of work, Mr. Lapointe still actively plays ice hockey and is involved in many other athletic activities. He travels extensively to visit family in Canada, Florida and Europe. He also enjoys meeting with clients around the world and always finds time to visit other Engel & Völkers shops.
