Local Real Estate Expertise with a Global Reach: Engel & Völkers

About

Janice obtained her real estate license in 1983, giving her 35 years’ experience in land and residential property. Prior to becoming a Realtor, Janice taught school and received a 6-year specialist degree. She became a master teacher and went on to become teacher of the year for the Upson County School System. This experience taught her to be a good listener, which helps her understand exactly what her clients are looking for in a home! Janice first joined Day Realty Company in Thomaston, Georgia, where she practiced from 1983-2004. During this time, she learned valuable negotiating skills and how she could be an excellent problem solver for her clients.

In 2004 she moved to the beautiful Golden Isles of Georgia and placed her license with Century 21. Since being in the Golden Isles, she has worked for Liberty Harbor, Beachcomber Properties, and Chapman Hall Coastal, before settling in at Engel & Völkers.

Janice joined Engel & Völkers because of its vast global network of agents that spans 5 continents, as well as for its distinct marketing measures. She liked their motto of “white glove service at every price point.” Her goal as an Engel & Völkers advisor is to levy the prestigious brand to create more opportunities to buy and sell for her clients.

Janice is and active member of the Golden Isles Association of Realtors, with ABR and ASR designations. She loves to travel, decorate, walk, work with builders on new homes, design, and go for bike rides on beautiful Saint Simons Island! She has traveled to 6 continents, observing different lifestyles, homes, and customs of people from around the world.
