Local Real Estate Expertise with a Global Reach: Engel & Völkers

Kathy Baker has nearly three decades of experience in all aspects of real estate, learning from the bottom up. Her path began with underwriting residential home loans and mortgage-backed securities when she lived in San Francisco. Thereafter she ventured into commercial property management prior to a position involving land acquisitions. Subsequently, she became a loan originator and processor prior to securing a full-time position as a Transaction Coordinator, during the real estate crash years of 2009-2011 while selling real estate part-time nights & weekends.

She was born and raised in San Francisco. In her twenties, she ventured to Marin County and enjoyed 25 years there before moving to Sonoma County (Santa Rosa) in 1998, where she and her daughter still reside together. She loves Sonoma County, the Sonoma Coast, good wine, good food and connecting with friends and family. Her hobbies are photography and good movies. Kathy also enjoys volunteering at our Redwood Empire Food Bank.

Kathy didn’t discover her real passion until 2006 when she became a licensed Realtor. Since then, she has closed escrows on a variety of transaction types: primary single-family residences, country properties, secondary homes, fix and flip properties, coastal properties, condos, mobile homes, trust sales, short sales, REOs, and those wishing to relocate.

As she says, “The diversity of each escrow is challenging, and that’s why it’s so important that buyers and sellers choose a real estate professional who is not only experienced but trustworthy, reliable, and ethical. I am dedicated to my profession and my clients as I continue building a strong reputation for knowledge in the field while remaining current with market trends.”

Kathy looks forward to providing exemplary personalized service with enthusiasm. Her thoroughness and attention to detail, with great communication and negotiating skills, will guide you successfully to the end of your next real estate transaction.
