Krista V and Mark G Team Team
Krista V and Mark G are a mother-son real estate team based in Victoria BC.
Krista made Victoria her home in 2000 and she has never looked back. Krista loves the fabulous Victoria Lifestyle.
Before her success as an award winning real estate advisor, Krista worked in the travel industry for over 30 years. This has given her the experience of building lasting relationships with clients that are based on trust, honesty and integrity. Many of her clients have become friends. Travelling the world has also given me an appreciation for where we live and how fortunate we are to live here.
Krista listens closely to her clients to understand their “wants and needs” when helping them to buy or sell a home.
As well as her continuing education at the Victoria Real Estate Board, Krista has completed other designations such as SRES (Seniors Real Estate Specialist) & CNE (Certified Negotiation Expert).
Krista is well connected in the community as she belongs to the Oak Bay Rotary Club, and other business networking groups. She is also pleased to have been on the Community Relations Committee with the Victoria Real Estate Board which strengthened her relationships with other Realtors.
Giving back to the community is important so Krista is involved in the “Food Rescue” program here in Victoria through Rotary. Krista has also organized a group of 10 Realtors to sponsor a hot breakfast once a month at Our Place Society where they serve and clear tables. It is not just the homeless that patronize Our Place but also seniors and lower income working folks that find it hard to make ends meet. The stories are incredibly sad so brightening someone’s day with a good hot breakfast is very heartwarming.
Krista also supports Wild ARC, a part of the BCSPCA that is a wild animal rehabilitation centre and is funded solely by donation. As I previously volunteered here on a weekly basis, I saw firsthand the amazing work that is done to care for injured wildlife.
As of August 1, 2017 I have recently taken over the business of a dear friend and associate, Dallas Chapple. Dallas had to retire very quickly due to an illness and approached me in July 2017 to ask me if I could take care of her very special and valued clients. It is such an honour to know that Dallas, a very well respected Realtor among her peers and her clients whose core values of honesty and integrity chose me. Big shoes to fill but I am up for the challenge.
In my spare time, I love spending time with my family , especially my little grandson and enjoying the wonderful activities Victoria has to offer such as biking, walking and hiking.
Mark comes from a diverse background that has shaped him into the personable, energetic, thorough, and detailed oriented person he is today. His education, which includes a Bachelor’s of Science degree from the University of Victoria, a Gas Turbine Technician Certificate from BCIT, and a UBC Certificate in Project Management, have taught him to embrace all challenges and treat them as an opportunity for growth… both of which he welcomes. On his path to Real Estate, Mark has worn the hat of Microbiologist, Photography Business Owner, and Construction Project Manager. His career path has shown him the importance of understanding his client’s needs, timely follow-up, and providing outstanding customer service in building long lasting and trusting relationships.
When Mark is not assisting his clients in real estate, he loves spending time with his wife, Vanessa, and son, Ace. Mark is both a proud father and proud teacher to his son. He loves reliving the excitement of the world through his son’s eyes; everything new to his son becomes a new adventure, no matter how big or small.
