Local Real Estate Expertise with a Global Reach: Engel & Völkers

Marjie Orton has been a Marin County resident since 1973 and acquired her real estate license in 1991. Before joining Engel & Voelkers, she was a top-producing agent in Marin and also worked for many years in sales management and in the construction field, where she learned to put the customer first. She looks forward to sharing the global market reach of Engel & Völkers with her clients, since the real estate market is now global.

She says, “As a Realtor, I have a commitment to work with sellers and buyers as a team to achieve their goals and even their dreams! There are many challenges in the real estate field, and I stay in touch with changing market conditions, prices, and supply of homes to make the process from search to close as seamless as possible.”

Marjie has a proven track record of professionalism and is respected for her communications ability, follow-up, and successful sales. She is detail-oriented—smoothly handling inspections, paperwork, and negotiations throughout each real estate transaction. She also stays up to date with changing regulations and laws. As one of her clients testified, “We were delighted to meet someone that was so knowledgeable, dependable, reliable, conscientious, and hard-working.”

When not working with clients, Marjie is a singer, songwriter, and musician. She recently produced her first music CD with her original music—singing and playing guitars, mandolin, and synthesizers on the album. In the past, she also did museum-quality framing for fine-arts galleries and designed custom fabric mats. This background adds to her aesthetic appreciation of the homes and environments of Marin County.
