Miri collects Latin American and Contemporary Art and is an enthusiastic member of the Houston arts community. She has been appointed to several Boards, including Lawndale Art Center (2006 to 2012), DiverseWorks (2005-2006), and The Alley Theatre's 1st Act (2005-2006).

Miri is an Accredited Luxury Homes Specialist and received a B.A. in languages from the University of Texas at Austin. A native of Cuernavaca, Mexico, she speaks fluent Spanish, conversational French, and basic Italian. Miri has served as a spokesperson and producer of Real Estate segments on Univision's "Despierta Austin." She has further parlayed her love for writing and film into positions as an Arts and Culture Contributor and Features Writer for Origin and Mantra Magazine, and Producer and Director of an award-winning documentary film, Kilometre 0, Life in the Shadow of Notre Dame.
