The global real estate brand’s newest shop opening in North Carolina’s largest mountain city represents its fifth location in the state

Engel & Völkers today announced its expansion into Asheville, NC, the brand’s fifth location in the state. The newly established Engel & Völkers Asheville is a result of a partnership between DixonPacifica Real Estate of Asheville, a long-time fixture in the community founded by Tad Dixon, and Engel & Völkers Highlands Cashiers, a leading brokerage founded by Mark and Grace Battle that serves the Highlands-Cashiers Plateau. The Battles, who affiliated their previous brokerage, Old Cashiers Realty, with Engel & Völkers Highlands Cashiers in April, 2020, will also serve as this new shop’s license partners. DixonPacifica Real Estate’s Bethany Behrmann will continue to serve as managing broker, and Tad Dixon, bringing 15 years of experience, will serve as the shop’s president.

“Real estate continues to trend upward in Asheville, as well as in the surrounding cities and counties,” said Anthony Hitt, president and CEO, Engel & Völkers Americas. “The region offers world-renowned outdoor recreation and is known for its emphasis on quality of life. These factors, combined with Asheville’s range of housing inventory and proximity to major cities in the Southeast, continue to draw residents from around the world. As consumers continue to redefine what ‘home’ means to them during these times, Asheville is a distinct market in that it truly offers something for everyone. I am thrilled with Mark and Grace’s decision to expand our presence in Western North Carolina.”

Engel & Völkers Asheville is located in the heart of downtown Asheville, from which a team of expert local real estate professionals will service home buyers and sellers in the markets of Asheville, Hendersonville, Arden, Fairview, Weaverville, Fletcher, Mills River, Candler, Canton, Lake Lure, Ruhterfordton, Marion, Tryon, Flat Rock, Mars Hill, Barnardsville, Brevard, Etowah, and Pisgah Forest.

Asheville is known for its thriving arts and cultural scene, national forests and abundance of natural beauty. Live music, numerous restaurants and breweries, as well as ample opportunities for hiking, biking, watersports, climbing, fishing, camping and more, continue to draw four million visitors to Asheville each year, with many deciding to become permanent residents. The area has a strong luxury real estate market, offering buyers everything from upscale downtown condos, new construction and gated communities to historic estates and secluded mountain cabins.

“As the Asheville area continues to be sought after by consumers on a global level, it was a natural and easy decision to bring the brand here,” said Mark Battle. “We were impressed with the reputation, customer service culture, and collaborative tone that Tad, Bethany, and the DixonPacifica team have created. We are excited to be working with these well-regarded professionals. In partnering with Engel & Völkers, we are able to combine the ‘on-the-ground’ local expertise our team members have cultivated over many years in the Asheville community with the power and reach of a global brand that offers a suite of cutting edge technology and tools. It’s a powerful offering that will uplevel real estate across our entire market.”Engel & Völkers operates a global network of over 12,000 real estate professionals in more than 30 countries.
