Engel & Völkers Expands to Jersey City

June 7, 2021

Building on the success of the global real estate brand’s Hoboken location, Lisa Troyano-Ascolese opens a second shop location in Jersey City

Engel & Völkers today announced the opening of its newest shop, Engel & Völkers Jersey City, led by license partner Lisa Troyano-Ascolese.. This is the second Engel & Völkers location for Troyano-Ascolese, who also serves as the license partner for the brand’s Hoboken location. In expanding the company’s footprint to Jersey City, Troyano-Ascolese, and her team of real estate advisors will continue to service homebuyers and sellers across Hudson and Bergen counties, including  Jersey City Downtown, Jersey City Heights and Jersey City Journal Square.

“There’s a natural overlap between the Hoboken and Jersey City real estate markets,” said Anthony Hitt, president and CEO, Engel & Völkers Americas. “Residents are looking for more options and space when it comes to real estate while still enjoying easy access to Manhattan. However, the communities here offer so much more than a 15 minute commute into the city. Lisa has a true understanding of what makes each neighborhood unique. Jersey City’s recent real estate boom, especially among new developments, and population growth make it an ideal time for Lisa to officially expand the brand’s presence with a dedicated shop location. I look forward to their continued success in Hoboken, Jersey City and beyond.”

Just a few blocks from the Grove Street PATH station, Engel & Völkers Jersey City will be located at 284-286 1st Street, assisting area residents in navigating a fast-paced market that boasts a distinct mix of old and new, offering everything from high rise lofts and modern waterfront condo buildings to 100-year-old brownstones at a variety of price points. Jersey City was recently named the “Most Diverse City in the Nation” and continues to draw buyers from Europe, China and South America.

“Jersey City’s proximity to New York City is what may initially attract interested buyers from Manhattan and elsewhere,” said Troyano-Ascolese. “But it is the people, culture, art and food that makes them stay. Our expansion here has been fluid and makes total sense; Jersey City is a global community and Engel & Völkers is a global real estate network comprised of experts from around the world that specialize within their local markets. There may be a great deal of industry noise at the moment, but our attention remains laser-focused on marketing properties at the highest level of professionalism and individualized service.”

Engel & Völkers Jersey City’s grand opening will take place on June 9, 2021. The event will feature a ribbon cutting ceremony on location at 284-286 1st Street in Jersey City at 4:00 p.m., followed by a 5:00 p.m. reception in front of the new shop in the Hard Grove Cafe parklet, located directly next door to the shop. Jersey City Mayor Steven Fulop has been invited to attend.
