The global real estate brand’s #1 advisor worldwide in GCI now leads 32 shop locations in the Americas with latest shop opening in California

Engel & Völkers today announced the opening of its newest real estate shop location in Sonoma, CA. The shop is led by Paul Benson, the brand’s top advisor globally in GCI and franchisee of 32 Engel & Völkers shops in key feeder market locations across six states along with three Engel & Völkers Yachting locations. Scott Brackett will serve as managing broker for the new Sonoma location with additional leadership support from Mike Muters, the organization’s general manager; Rick Rybarczyk, director of marketing; Cathy Tullysmith, marketing manager of the North Bay region; and, regional manager Rick Turley. Benson and team also oversee Engel & Völkers’ other existing Northern California shop locations in downtown Healdsburg, Santa Rosa, Napa, St. Helena and Mendocino.

“Since the opening of Engel & Völkers Healdsburg in 2017, our expansion throughout Northern California has been purposeful, strategic and calculated,” said Anthony Hitt, president and CEO, Engel & Völkers Americas. “With Paul at the helm, each new shop location has attracted gatekeepers from the upper echelons of each of these communities. As a result, our local advisors have deep roots across wine country and unparalleled local real estate knowledge—in fact, many of them have spent most of their lives here. They have the connections regionally, and our network unlocks their connections globally, for powerful results that matter to the places they themselves call home.”

Engel & Völkers Sonoma is located at 25 East Napa Street, facing the historic Sonoma Plaza and steps away from more than a dozen historic landmarks, popular restaurants, art galleries, shopping, and wine tasting. The shop will service the markets of Sonoma, Temelec/El Verano, Boyes Hot Springs, Kenwood, Glen Ellen, Agua Caliente/Fetters Hot Springs, Rohnert Park/Cotati, Petaluma, Penngrove, and greater Sonoma County, where properties range from expansive vineyard estates with equestrian facilities and panoramic views to historic Craftsman styles downtown, charming bungalows and cottages, and even single-level ranchers on rural parcels further away from town.

“Sonoma is a rare place where you can truly have it all: quiet, beauty, world-class amenities and culture, and a friendly, unassuming feel,” said Benson. “As relocating and international buyers continue to flood the bucolic settings of Sonoma, Engel & Völkers’ global reach and reputation is key. The entire Engel & Völkers network benefits from a dedicated shop location in Sonoma, the picturesque birthplace of local winemaking and just an hour outside of San Francisco.”
