GG Yachting Magazine Unveils The Perfect Getaway

June 6, 2022

The latest issue of GG Yachting is here. Prepare to be swept away—not by the tides but by yachting enthusiasts’ luxurious lifestyle.  Explore this season’s edition, The Perfect Getaway, featuring boat builders Moonen and Genesis Interiors, as well as a spotlight on Canada’s Western Gem, British Columbia.

A new generation of seafarers has entered the market for the first time, causing global yacht sales to increase 29% in 2021 and 31% the year before. In 2021 alone, maritime data firm VesslesValue reported 887 superyachts were sold—a 77 percent increase from the year before. The average age of the modern boat buyer has decreased by over 10 years, and these new buyers’ zealous interest in yachts has led to waiting times of up to three years. With these factors taken into consideration, the boating sector is expected to continue growing throughout and beyond 2025.

Boat buyers, however, aren’t just looking for anything they can get their hands on:

“Along with skyrocketing demand, we have seen a surge in interest in new innovations, creative design, and green technologies. The latter has developed holistically and has been adapted for maritime uses, with eclectic boats of all sizes and types being brought to the market. The use of recyclable materials has also grown exponentially. There is a generation of fiberglass classics heading into retirement, each making way for new products and innovations.”

The Dream of Independence

The impeccable MOONEN 110 superyacht graces this issue’s cover. With this ultra-luxury, semi-custom boat freedom is truly within reach.

“Owners appreciate the possibility of a longer, independent stay on board.”

Victor Caminada, Head of Sales, Moonen

Dutch boat builders, Moonen, center innovation in their designs as they strive to meet clients’ dreams of freedom. Revolutionizing the traditional processes of yacht building, Moonen is known for its “semi-custom” practice. Simply put, the sooner buyers sign the contract, the more say they have in the yacht’s final design; however, no matter the phase of construction, individual adjustments are always possible. The final product is always tailored to the desires and tastes of its owners.

MOONEN 110 is the company’s latest yacht, created and designed for current and predicted future needs. As clients look to stay on board longer, with as few interruptions as possible, interiors that mirror a luxury home’s comfort and opulence are a must.
