May 22, 2020

NFL player Jason Witten has listed his 1.2 acre, Mediterranean-style home in Westlake, Texas with our very own Roxann Taylor of Engel and Völkers Dallas Fort Worth. Witten, a former Dallas Cowboys tight end, signed a one-year contract with the Las Vegas Raiders in March and is selling his home in preparation for the move. He has owned the stunning home since 2013. Located in the gated community of Vaquero, about a half an hour drive from the Cowboys’ stadium. Listed at $4.685 million, the six-bedroom home boasts expansive living spaces in a neighborhood known for its sports celebrities and business executives. The world-renowned private club includes access to the Fazio golf course and incredible facilities. In addition, residents are automatically granted entry to the Westlake Academy.

The corner cul de sac home was built in 2008 and boasts a main estate with over 8,000 square feet of living space. The property includes a separate guest house and is surrounded by beautiful landscaping, flora, and outdoor living spaces.

The home has a uniform style throughout with high ceilings, white walls, and subdued furniture. The living room features hardwood floors, modern light fixtures, and chic exposed wooden beams that complement the otherwise pristine space.

The kitchen is to the right of the entryway, with all-white cabinetry surrounding a large island, new appliances, and granite counters. It flows into a breakfast area and a second living room with windows that overlook the backyard.

The home has a total of six bedrooms and eight bathrooms, ideal for families or those just looking for extra space and privacy. The master suite is on the first floor, separate from the other living areas in the home. The bedroom has access to the back patio through two sets of French doors that flank either side of a fireplace.

There’s an additional sitting area in the master suite, across from the walk-in closet. The focal point of the master bathroom is a large, freestanding bathtub surrounded by his-and-her sinks on either side of the bathroom and a shower in the middle separating the countertop spaces.

A separate wing of the house on the first floor features a game room complete with a bar and a theater room and an additional bedroom with an ensuite bathroom and walk-in closet to function as a guest suite.

The outdoor living space is ideal for entertaining both day and night. The home has a covered patio with multiple dining and seating areas, a resort-style pool with a slide, a waterfall, and spa. Perfect for enjoying the Texas weather, the stunning backyard and outdoor areas of this home are definitely one of its most appealing features.
