Engel & Völkers Opens Shop in Ontario's Thriving Cambridge

The global luxury real estate brand’s latest expansion marks its 21st location in Ontario

Engel & Völkers, the global luxury real estate brand, announces the opening of its newest shop, Engel & Völkers Cambridge Galt. Led by license partners Dennis Mehravar and Emma Yu, the partners bring more than 30 years of combined experience in real estate. The new shop will provide the brand’s world-class service to markets in the Waterloo Region, including Cambridge, Kitchener, North Dumfries, Waterloo, Wellesley, Wilmot and Woolwich.

"Cambridge is a fast-growing market in close proximity to major metropolitan cities and with several established industries, including manufacturing, technology, healthcare and education. These contribute to a stable job market and, in turn, positively affect the real estate market,” says Anthony Hitt, president and CEO, Engel & Völkers Americas. “The shop is located in a picturesque historic district and is a valuable addition to the Engel & Völkers network. It represents our continued growth in Ontario, where we operate 21 shops.”

"Cambridge has idyllic scenery with a quaint city feel. It offers a reasonable commute to the Greater Toronto Area and is close to Waterloo’s growing tech region, making it an ideal location for young professionals and families,” shared Mehravar, license partner, Engel & Völkers Cambridge Galt. “People are drawn to Cambridge because of its proximity to The Grand River and the city’s character, charm and history.”

Buyer demand is mainly local, with external buyers hailing from Cambridge’s surrounding regions. A short drive from major airports and U.S. borders, the bustling community is near several educational institutions, including the University of Waterloo and Wilfrid Laurier University. The area holds growth potential with its new condos, construction buildings and heritage properties. Destinations in the area include Cambridge Sculpture Garden, Cambridge Farmers Market, Riverside Park, Chilligo Conservation Area and Cambridge’s annual Celebration of the Arts festival.
