Local Real Estate Expertise with a Global Reach: Engel & Völkers

About

Christine von dem Bach is a Real Estate Advisor with Engel & Völkers Destin. She calls herself a ‘brat’, a military brat that is. Growing up in Germany and Italy as a military dependent, she was able to see a lot of the world. Christine has over 14 years of experience in the real estate industry. She started out in the Los Angeles , California market around 1990, then she relocated to Hawaii and then Seattle, eventually moving to and raising her daughter for a few years in Germany with her husband, Clay. They made the trip back across the 'pond' 16 years ago and have been enjoying the natural beauties of the Emerald Coast ever since.

Christine made the move to Engel & Völkers in May of 2017. She tells the story of how she was driving over the Destin Bridge one Sunday and noticed the brand new E&V sign on the building across from the Destin Commons, and instantly felt the connection with the brand. Having seen store fronts of E&V overseas and the quality of superior service the company offers to include the international clientele, she knew she had found her new business home. Having then met the Engel & Völkers team just confirmed her feeling of wanting to be associated with the Engel & Völkers brand.

Christine is involved in all facets of real estate. She loves meeting new people that are moving to the area, and is excited about showing the new residents all the lifestyle amenities that are offered. "Our area is still growing and has potential for becoming one of the top destinations in the United States. And the fact that we literally have powdered sugar-white beaches among the turquoise-colored water is enough to make the decision to want to live here; it's a little known gem. It is one of the reasons why thousands of tourists come to visit repeatedly every season" she states.

In her spare time Christine enjoys boating in the Gulf of Mexico and in the winter time camping and ATV riding. And of course traveling throughout the south as much as she possibly can. "Growth in our area is happening on a daily basis, and there is no other place I can see myself living in for the moment".
