Roliff Purrington brings a strong work ethic, a broad range of experience and varied skill set to real estate buyers and sellers, including those from Houston’s dynamic international community, both new and existing residents and foreign investors. He has over thirty years of combined experience in numerous fields including law, business, government and education, as well as in real estate, and is especially focused on domestic and international referrals.

Roliff grew up in Southeastern Virginia near the North Carolina border. He graduated from Woodberry Forest School in Orange, Virginia,Summa Cum Laude, and was awarded at Morehead Scholarship to the University of North Carolina, which he declined. He obtained his undergraduate degree from Yale University with honors where he was a Yale National Scholar, lettered at quarterback on the varsity football team and was a member of DKE fraternity and Berzelius Senior Society. After teaching and coaching for a year at Episcopal High School in Alexandria, Virginia, he obtained his law degree from the University of Virginia Law School, where he was a member of the Raven Society. He subsequently obtained his MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business in that university’s MBA program in Barcelona, Spain, where he maintained a residence.

Roliff practiced law in Virginia and then in Houston and Austin, chiefly with large law firms, for more than twenty five years. Based primarily in Houston, where he has lived for since 1982, he represented clients in real property, land use, environmental and infrastructure matters in most of Texas’ major cities. During this period, he also interned for a time at SEMARNAP, the Mexican EPA, in Mexico City and maintained a residence in that city. Later, he worked as a consultant with private equity investors in brownfields and other distressed properties in the United States.

Since 2004, he has worked in or on matters in the Middle East and traveled to various countries in the region on numerous occasions .This work included twenty six months in Baghdad with the Coalition Provisional Authority and the US State Department, chiefly as the senior US advisor to the Iraq Ministry of Housing and Construction, a 24,000 person ministry with activities throughout Iraq.

Roliff was formerly affiliated with John Daugherty, Realtors in Houston.He has lived in Houston’s Museum District since 1982 and is a member of the Houston Association of Realtors, the Texas Association of Realtors and the National Association of Realtors .
