Engel & Völkers Announces Two New Shop Locations in Maine

June 4, 2020

The global real estate brand continues to expand its Northeast presence with shops opening in the Casco Bay towns of Brunswick and Harpswell

Engel & Völkers today announced the opening of the brand’s newest real estate shop locations servicing home buyers and sellers along Maine’s picturesque coastline. The newly established Engel & Völkers Casco Bay comes as the result of a partnership with Bruce Davis and Homes & Harbors Real Estate, the brokerage that Davis founded and successfully led for the past 20 years. Now doing business as Engel & Völkers Casco Bay, Davis will continue to serve as broker/managing owner and license partner overseeing two shop locations in Brunswick and Harpswell that will collectively service the area’s coastline from Freeport to Westport Island.

“I am thrilled to welcome Bruce and his team to Engel & Völkers,” said Anthony Hitt, president and CEO, Engel & Völkers Americas. “As we continue to expand to new markets across the Americas, something that all of our license partners and advisors have in common is a dedication to elevating the home buying or selling experience through a fresh, modern, and customized approach to each client’s unique real estate journey. As we grow in Maine and throughout the Northeast, Bruce’s leadership, local expertise and track record of success will be invaluable.”

Engel & Völkers Casco Bay’s shop locations in Brunswick and Harpswell will be located in Brunswick’s quaint downtown and the seaside village of Orr’s Island in Harpswell. The region is a mix of coastal neighborhoods, protected harbors, and open ocean coastline, with housing inventory characterized by single-family homes and classic waterfront cottages. The area is known for its natural beauty and relative seclusion, while also being easily commutable to both Portland and Boston, making Casco Bay a highly sought after locale for buyers looking for a summer, retirement, or vacation home.

“Engel & Völkers provides an unparalleled level of national and global brand recognition,” said Davis. “This is especially important in our market, as buyers and sellers are often from out of state or another country. That level of reach and visibility coming from a brand that is reflexively associated with luxury and white-glove service is an ideal fit for us. We are excited to be able to offer clients here an alternative approach to business as usual when it comes to buying and selling their homes, which is a highly personal milestone in anyone’s life. Engel & Völkers provides us with the tools, resources, and the brand power we need to set ourselves apart and elevate real estate experiences across the board along Maine’s southern coast.”

Regarding COVID-19 and how the pandemic has affected business, Davis adds:

“Our primary concern remains the safety and health of our clients and advisors. Though it may look a bit different right now, we still have a job to do. Masks and gloves are part of our daily attire and our team has become very comfortable with virtual meetings and showings. We’ve used video walk-throughs and agent previews to reduce everyone’s exposure while enabling our advisors to continue to provide top-notch guidance and the level of service that our clients have come to expect. Our results year-to-date presently exceed those of last year, an achievement I attribute entirely to the team’s impressive ability to adapt and innovate.”
