Led by Carly Jones, a top-performing advisor with Engel & Völkers Chicago North Shore, the global real estate brand’s newest location will service the shoreline communities of Lake Michigan, from New Buffalo to Grand Haven
Engel & Völkers today announced the opening of its newest shop location in Douglas, Michigan under the leadership of license partner and managing broker Carly Jones, who is a founding advisor with Engel & Völkers Chicago North Shore and brings many years of experience in both real estate and law to her new role. Jennifer Ames and her husband Paul Lazarre, who founded Engel & Völkers Chicago in 2019, along with Karen Arenson, who serves as co-license partner and managing broker of Engel & Völkers Chicago North Shore, join Jones as co-license partners of the newly established Engel & Völkers Shoreline, which will service Michigan’s lakeside communities of Douglas, Saugatuck, Holland, Fennville, and Harbor Country.
“It’s incredibly exciting to witness the continued growth of our presence in Chicago and the surrounding areas,” said Anthony Hitt, president and CEO, Engel & Völkers Americas. “In just a few short years, and one of them marked by a global pandemic at that, Jenny Ames has continued to expand our area footprint with the opening of two new shop locations. She’s assembled an impressive team of real estate experts and business leaders to drive growth in each market, and based on Carly’s proven track record of success in our North Shore shop, I have every confidence in this team’s continued success in Michigan.”
Located on the main street of Douglas and just a short drive from Saugatuck, Engel & Völkers Shoreline will service homebuyers and sellers increasingly drawn to Lake Michigan’s quaint and quiet resort communities characterized by beachfront properties, luxury lakefront homes, in town locations and high-acreage rural estates, as well as ample opportunities for second homes and investment properties.
“Michigan’s shoreline has long been an attractive getaway destination for people from Chicago and Michigan metropolitan areas,” said Jones. “A slower pace of life, beautiful sunrises and sunsets, lakeside walking trails, sailing, swimming, the list goes on as to why residents fall in love with the area. The pandemic has made quality of life at home more important than ever, and as a result, the market has become extremely active over the past year. We’re easy to get to from the cities, offering a relaxed lifestyle for people who love nature, antiques, art and culture.”
As a global luxury brand, Engel & Völkers is in 33 countries around the world with 243 shops within the Americas. Globally, Engel & Völkers boasts an expansive network of more than 13,500 advisors.
“Engel & Völkers will introduce a new standard of client service to this area,” added Jones. “Our marketing and white glove approach are simply unlike anything else the market has seen. I am looking forward to elevating the real estate experience here and connecting with and supporting both residents and other local businesses.”
