Global real estate brand enters new market under the leadership of powerhouse license partner Paul Benson
Engel & Völkers today announced the brand’s newest real estate shop location opening in Salt Lake City. The shop falls under the leadership of Paul Benson, who is currently the license partner and owner of 32 Engel & Völkers shops located throughout Utah, Arizona, Idaho, California, Oregon, and Nevada. Trey Leonard will serve as the managing broker, overseeing the day-to-day operations of the shop. The newly established Engel & Völkers Salt Lake City will bring a new standard of luxury client service and real estate experiences to the market, serving the areas of Holladay, Cottonwood Heights, Millcreek, Sandy, Draper, Riverton and South Jordan, in addition to Salt Lake City.
“Salt Lake City is a natural extension of our existing presence across Utah, California and Nevada,” said Anthony Hitt, president and CEO, Engel & Völkers Americas. “Paul has built an extensive feeder network, establishing real estate shop locations to service his clients across the region. The market in Salt Lake City is strong and continues to grow, and with Paul’s proven track record and Trey’s local expertise, I am confident in their joint leadership of our brand’s presence here.”
The new shop will be located at 1987 South 1100 East in the high-traffic pedestrian area of Salt Lake City’s trendy Sugar House neighborhood, a lively, developing area full of fine eateries, vibrant nightlife and diverse real estate offerings. Overall, the market features a mixture of character-rich brick bungalows from the early 20th century and new developments targeted toward a growing demographic of young, affluent professionals. Salt Lake City has long attracted residents for its amazing outdoor recreation offerings, including winter snow sports as well as mountain biking and hiking in the picturesque Wasatch Mountains to the east and north, and the Oquirrh Mountains bordering the western edge of the valley in which the city is located.
“Salt Lake City is growing at a fast rate, and establishing an Engel & Völkers shop here fills a current void in the market for buyers and sellers looking for unmatched representation to meet their real estate needs,” said Benson. “Our brand presence in the region continues to grow rapidly and attract some of the best real estate talent in the area, and we knew the market would be extremely receptive to Engel & Völkers’ unique approach to client service here and around the globe.”
“Our real estate market in Salt Lake City is presenting exciting opportunities for both buyers and sellers,” added Leonard. “It’s one of the fastest-growing markets in the country, in part because of the influx of tech companies migrating to this area, as well as our incredible quality of life along the Wasatch Front. We look forward to delivering exceptional real estate experiences to our community with the tools and resources we have access to as a part of the Engel & Völkers network.”
